"From your front porch, from your bed, from your couch, from the carpool line, or from the breakroom at work. Wherever you can, whenever you can – #SheReadsTruth is about taking as much time as you can to seek His face and be in His word. From wherever you are, we’ll be here! Listening and being encouraged by your obedience and sharing the insight of other women around the world who are getting into God’s Word as well. "
I LOVE this concept because even if I cannot make it to a bible study [or in my case, I haven't found one to join....if any Dallas girls know of one to join please let me know], you can join in on She Reads Truth, follow along, comment, read the comments and in the end, feel 100% connected to a group of women who are right there with you!
I found this site through their hashtag on instagram #shereadstruth when I was pregnant and I jumped right in. Ladies, this is such a valuable site and it instantly made me feel so connected to women out there. I fell off the wagon but I was re-introduced and saw that yesterday was the last day of the Peter study so I assume today or tomorrow She Reads Truth is about to begin a new chapter and I AM ON BOARD and I would love for you to join too! Or you can start on any of the previous studies; I am especially interested in this one. Here is how to get started... I hope you find this site as exciting as I do :)Also, I have been reading 7 by Jen Hatmaker [her blog is amazing too] and it is a must read! Jen is probably one of the best writers I have ever come across. She is hilarious, to the point, and what she says and how she says it just makes me happy. I have been struggling for a long time with living one way, yet wanting desperately to live a life more like Christ. I am totally guilty and consumed by the things I want and not focusing on the things I really need [the big guy upstairs]. And of course Jesus Calling is like my morning cup of coffee... I need it to start my day off right!
Also, my dear friend Riley [posted about her adorable company here], has started a blog God's Plan, Not Mine [perfect blog name!!!!] journaling about her struggles with chronic illness. She has been through so much and just reading her writing about it all makes me want to start volunteering and helping people who are struggling like she is [and has been for over a decade]. Praise the Lord that she FINALLY received a diagnosis after such a long road. Hope you will follow along in her journey and enjoy her writing as much as I do.
